Heritage & Conservation Architects

Working from historic Durham, the practice holds RIBA conservation accreditation and has a long record of repairing, adapting and reusing significant buildings.

Recent conservation work includes Neville Hall in Newcastle, The Boiler House and Armstrong Building at Newcastle University, Redcar Central Station, the Locomotion Museum buildings at Shildon and the restoration of Cosin's Almshouses and the Pemberton Building in Durham.

Each commission begins with understanding: archive research, fabric survey and an assessment of significance. Repair specification, listed building consent, grant applications and quinquennial inspection all sit within the team.
