From our studios in the heart of historic Durham, the practice has worked over many years on listed buildings of local, regional and national importance, and is accredited by the RIBA to do so.
Our approach to historic buildings and interiors is based on a thorough understanding of the fabric, its significance and its future use. Research, archive study and careful survey inform every proposal before design work begins.
The team's conservation work has been recognised by RICS, the Civic Trust and the RIBA, including awards for Neville Hall, The Boiler House and the restoration of Cosin's Almshouses and Pemberton Building.
